| C.D. Harris founded Harris Steel Fence
in 1929, one of the pioneers of the fencing industry in Los Angeles.
In the Mid 40’s Harris started making steel pipe because of the
shortage of steel caused by the wars going on in Europe, this greatly
expanded the company into a major west coast pipe maker and supplier. |

| During this time Harris
Steel Fence designed and patented a steel picket fence that was a
huge hit with homeowners. The steel picked fence looked like the old
fashioned wood picket fence that was so popular at the time, but lasted
many times longer with no maintenance. |

| In the mid 70’s The
Harris tube company separated from the Harris fence company. In the
1980’s Harris Tube Company was sold to outside investors. Harris
steel Fence Company has and will be serving The Los Angeles and Orange
County well into the next century. |
